Friday, 24 September, marked the two week point prior to departure. I rode over to Gary's house this past Tuesday so we could unpack our bikes and deconflict tools, equipment, etc and thereby reduce the loads on the bikes. It's pretty amazing what can be packed in and on a motorcycle.
We're getting to the end game of preparations: New tires, oil change, bike registration, buying Mexican motorcycle insurance, washing clothes in insect repellent, absentee voting (yep, voting is a big deal). All this will happen this week. Next Sunday, we start our anti-malarial medicines and that means it's really getting close to the departure date. The anticipation grows!!
y'all are short timers now! I imagine one of the greatest trips ever. I look forward to all y'all see and do. take care and we'll be thinking of y'all on your trip. Be a good dawg and respect the bell.
